Erruppu Falls
This waterfalls is amidst of lush green Western Ghats and is located at about 50kms from Madikeri and 20kms from NagarahoLe National Park . This stream will later join river Kaveri. This tributary is called LakshmaNa Teertha who origin is in the Brahma Giri peaks in side the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary.
The other places of interest nearby are Brahmagiri peak, a place called pakshi-pataLa. Except the waterfall all other places are inside the wildlife sanctuary and need permission to enter the sanctuary. This waterfall is also known as LakshmaNa teertha falls.
Kumara Parvatha
This peak is one of the most beautiful peaks in the whole of Western Ghats . The trek is of two days. You can either start from "Bidalli" from "Somawar pet" (Coorg) side or from "Subramanya" ( South Kanara ) side. Route 1. From Subramanya you get a place called Girigadde on the way to the peak on the first day of the trek, then you get a old structure well known as Mantapa and from there the top is 3hours trek. Route 2.From Somwar pet reach Bidalli en route peak. On the way you get a moderate waterfall also. From Bidalli you get buses to go to Somwar Pet in Coorg.
This trek is one of the beautiful and one of the difficult treks in Karnataka.
